Triton Connect

Triton Connect…Let in the World.

class·room [klas-room, -room, klahs-] –noun

1. a room, an area enclosed by four walls and a ceiling, in which classes are held.
2. any place where one learns or gains experience

There are two distinct definitions of the word “classroom”.
One: a room in which classes are held, simply put, a box with four walls.
Two: any place where one learns or gains experience.

Students deserve for their classrooms to be a rich place of learning experiences.

Let’s help our students to step out of the box and break down the walls by opening up a world of opportunity and enriching experiences through technology.

Triton Connect will let in the world.

The Triton Education Foundation Inc. has launched the Triton Connect initiative with full intent to install digital projectors in every classroom in the Triton Regional School District.  Classroom Technology represents to us the learning and teaching environment that every student and teacher in the nation will soon need to access in order to be competitive in today’s schools and tomorrows’ workplace. With Triton Connect, students will enter the classroom and be plugged into the endless opportunities offered by computer technology, enabling them to harness unlimited creative forces and to discover challenging new ways to expand their motivation and learning capabilities.

Digital Projectors will be installed in all classrooms at Triton High School and Middle School. These state-of-the-art tools are needed to transform our instructional arena so that this dynamic can become our teaching norm.  Simply, teachers will have the ability to share whatever is on their computer through a ceiling mounted projector, to be visible to all students simultaneously. Once installed, this technology will be used on a daily basis for sharing schedules, lessons, visiting websites, collaborating, and publishing. Teachers will have tangible means of charting their students’ progress and growth and can employ technological tools that support more proficient lesson planning which, in turn, will enable teachers to implement programs where students review their own presentations and performances.

Students will be able to more openly discuss books, current events, and research projects with school children anywhere and everywhere -- opening their eyes to the world around them and opening their minds to the different cultures surrounding us.  Students will develop an intuitive understanding of a computer’s capabilities, which is an essential part of the collaborative learning style used increasingly in today’s classrooms. The possibilities are endless and only limited by time in class. The impact of these experiences will be far-reaching for years to come. Please help us place these powerful teaching tools in the hands of our teachers and open our Triton classrooms to the world.
